Experienced Full-Stack Java Developer
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Full-Stack Java Developer to join our multidisciplinary product/project team and contribute to the design and development of mission-critical microservice systems, working across the entire application lifecycle—from data modeling and distributed architecture to automated deployment on Kubernetes and OpenShift—in a collaborative and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design: Participate in design workshops, produce UML artifacts, define API contracts, and model data and service boundaries
- Develop: Implement Spring Boot (or Quarkus) microservices and Angular interfaces, with non-negotiable standards for code quality and test coverage
- Scale: containerize your services (Docker), package them (Helm), deploy and operate them on Kubernetes/OpenShift, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines
- Ensure reliability: instrument systems (logs, metrics, traces), handle resilience (retry, circuit breaker, idempotence), and participate in post-incident analyses
- Raise the bar: conduct code reviews, mentor junior team members, and contribute to the team's technical standards
- Use AI wisely: integrate AI assistants (Claude, Copilot, Cursor, etc.) into your workflow—including code generation, refactoring, testing, and documentation—while systematically applying a critical eye to the output
Required Qualifications
- Degree in computer science or equivalent experience
- Experienced full-stack developer: 3 to 5 years of experience with Spring Boot / Angular (or Quarkus / Angular)
- Conceptual mastery of UML, system design, and data design: you know how to model before coding and justify your design choices
- DevOps practitioner: Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes or OpenShift, Helm packaging, CI/CD. Real-world experience, not theoretical
- Experience with an AI assistant: actual use in a professional context, and the ability to explain its benefits and limitations
- Technical proficiency in French and English (reading/writing) required
Nice to Have
- Experience with microservices architectures and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Knowledge of distributed patterns (Saga, Outbox), API Gateway, and Service Discovery
- Experience in application security with OAuth2/OIDC, Keycloak, and the OWASP Top 10
- Knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Loki, OpenTelemetry)
- Experience with advanced testing (Testcontainers, contract testing, load testing)
- Experience in mission-critical or regulated environments (telecom, banking, healthcare, public sector)
What We Offer
- Competitive salary and performance bonuses
- Remote work: Remote work available with approval
- Professional development budget for training and certifications
- A Clear Career Path: [Senior → Tech Lead / Architect]
- External access to AI assistants and time dedicated to developing skills in using these tools
